Check out my latest CollegeFashionista post!
Check out my last CollegeFashionista post of the semester as a Style Guru!
Next semester I'll be continuing my internship and writing posts while I'm in Florence, Italy! Can't wait for you all to check it out!!
Thrift shoppin' at Redeux
One of my favorite vintage thrift shops in York is Redeux. It's such an eclectic store that I can spend hours in and still be able to go back to find more. It's definitely one of the more unique shops downtown. You can find anything there like clothing, furniture, housewares, home decor, handmade jewelry, art, and vinyl records.
This is definitely the place to find uncommon items for a reasonable price. Beautiful vintage suitcase trunks are as low as fifteen dollars and will give your home eclectic vibes.
The clothing is so unique too. Every piece you pick off the rack looks like it has it's own history. I could imagine almost every piece being able to be incorporated into my own wardrobe. There's such a perfect mix between bohemian, vintage, and street style that you won't walk out without making a purchase. The store prides itself on being the place to go to "find that one-of-a-kind, can't-find-anywhere-else item".
Redeux has a blog as well! Check it out for updated posts and DIY suggestions!
The one-of-a-kind furniture amazes me as well. This unique vintage bar seems so fun to me. Maybe one day when I'm rich and own a fancy house I'll buy this bar and have all of my friends over to drink Root beer floats!
The hat I'm wearing in this picture is also from Redeux. It was only six bucks! So cute and I can see myself wearing it next semester when I'm in Italy.

If you happen to be in York or you live close enough to take a day trip, go visit Redeux on South Duke Street! And make sure you bring quarters for parking because York City Police can be a pretty annoying about parking!

"Change the way you look at things and the things you look at change." - Wayne W. Dyer
That quote has stuck with me over the past couple of weeks. Everything that happens in life is a door opening to a new opportunity. With all of the commotion going on in life, it's important to see the significance of everything happening.
Friday morning I had to be at the General Consulate of Italy at 9:30. I live about two hours away and was stressing that I wouldn't make it on time or that I wouldn't have all of my documents together. Instead of focusing on the stress, I paid attention to the many details and designs in the city. Because of this, I was able to enjoy my day with my family in Philadelphia and picture all of the great things coming in the future during the coming semester abroad in Florence.
Here are some pictures of my trip to Philadelphia yesterday that I hope you enjoy!
The first thing I noticed when I walked into the General Consulate were the walls. I love the Italian design everywhere you turn.
It's important to recognize the things in your life that make you happy
